Educational Technology Leadership: Course Reflection

When entering the course Fundamentals of Leadership, I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I was surprised to find out all the things I would learn and accomplish in this course.  In discovering the ISTE and NCATE websites, I found these tools to be of high importance in my future of Educational Technology Leadership, and will definitely refer to them in the future. So much so that I bookmarked them!  I was able to study the role of a leader and create a plan to practice the thirty-eight activities that are essential for a leader to be successful.  Creating a Wiki and Blog were not only exciting, but taught me ways to model the use of technology in a positive way for my students.  There are endless opportunities for successful teaching through these Web tools.  I look forward to taking these ideas to my fellow colleagues, and encouraging them to incorporate the use of technology in their classroom.  As a result of this course, I feel as though I am prepared to help others use technology effectively, legally, and successfully in their teaching, and can provide them with resources to do so.
