How will the use of a data wall benefit teachers in setting educational goals for their students? How will the data collected aid teachers in creating a plan of action to help their students reach the goals set for them?

After talking with my principal, this is my topic for my action research project.  I will work closely with her to decide the best way to collect this data.  The plan is to develop a way in which all teachers can use one document (that they can edit to meet their grade-level needs) to collect data about the progress of students reaching their projected goals.  This data will allow teachers to document the improvement, or lack there of, of each student.  Teachers will be able to use this data to create a personal plan for each student specific to their learning needs, and allow teachers to see what area(s) the teacher needs to focus on for that particular student.
